From 3 to 5 March 2023 the video workshop “Mental Hygiene & Social Media” will take place at the Waldmünchen Youth Education Centre. The seminar is aimed at young people between the ages of 16 and 26 and is being prepared by the ahoj.info team, which consists of volunteers from the European Solidarity Corps. The application deadline is 1.2.2023.
Social networks make our lives easier in many areas. They allow us to stay in touch with people far away, obtain information easily or share something with the world. But the disadvantages of these networks are also discussed often and widely.
But who can say exactly how much time you have spent on your mobile phone today? Or how much time on social media? Or exactly what you consumed, posted or wrote?
Often, we don’t even notice how our consumption of social media influences our mood, our perspective and our view of the world in everyday life. But our behaviour and habits in dealing with social media can have far-reaching effects on our mental health.
Together with you, we want to reflect on our everyday relationship with social media and discuss the possibilities for mental hygiene in relation to these networks.
What should we pay attention to when using social networks? How can we adapt our usage behaviour so as not to endanger our mental health? What support do you need when doing so?
If you are interested in this topic and would like to discuss it in an international group, take part in our seminar! Not only can you get to know many other young people, but you can also work on the subject artistically with the help of modern technical equipment in the form of a short film.
Registration is now open. The registration deadline is 01.02.2023!
Participation is free of charge. Travel expenses for participants from Germany will be reimbursed 100%. Travel expenses for participants from the Czech Republic will not be reimbursed.
